Fusajiro Yamauchi lived from 1849 to 1940. He is the first owner and founder of Nintendo/Nintendo Company Limited who started out as an Entrepreneur in Japan. He lived in Tokyo with his daughter and Tei and he owned shops in places like, Osaka.
Back in his day, business didn't start out well because of constant bans on playing card games in Japan because of high rates of gambling, but Hanafuda was different. They allowed Hanafuda because of the unique style of using pictures instead of numbers. It wasn't popular in Japan immediately because of the governments constant banning, but Fusajiro's cards change others thought. His unique, hand crafted Hanafuda cards were highly spotted amongst others and new in Japanese culture.
He started his business as, "Nintendo Koppai" and it rapidly grew and expanded as Japan's top card selling business.
