Nintendo didn't just start out as a video game company from Nintendo, it started all the way back in 1889 with Fusajiro Yamauchi. He made them hand-crafted to share with the public. It became very popular and the top card game that didn't involve illegal gambling in Japan. It's unique display of pics instead of numbers proved to the government it was worthy of being legal. They eventually reached there venture as a video game business in the 1970's, meaning their Hanafuda business lasted up to about 70-90 years!
